Two new websites for the Indigenous Group

Thursday, February 28, 2008
With an MBA from Queens, and over 25 years experience, Stanley Bear provides unique services to Aboriginal clients and communities through his two companies - Indigenous Health and Indigenous Management.

We're pleased to have been selected to design new websites for both organizations. While the website designs are simple and affordable, they are also attractive and informative - keys to his online marketing.

Thank you Stanley for making Modern Earth Web Design part of your team!

Get Booked at the Winnipeg Library Teen Site!

Monday, February 25, 2008

Through a provincial RFP process, the Winnipeg Public Library chose Modern Earth to build a new destination for their Teen patrons.

The result? Booked! This new website is a small scale social networking site with integrated events, mash up, polls, book reviews, etc.

The combined effort of the Library staff, Teen Advisory Council and Modern Earth, Booked! is a great example of Web 2.0 at work.

Ready to relax? There's nothing better than slipping into a hot tub on a cold day.

If you already have a hot tub, you know what I mean.. If you don't, give Crown Spas a visit!

When Crown Spas was ready for a new website, they chose the team at Modern Earth. We built them a custom brochure site with an integrated online store, and integrated private dealer area.

Now, where did I put my rubber ducky?

Lights! Camera! Action!

We're pleased to have been selected by Sunseeker Tours, a Hollywood area tour company who had an underperforming website.

We performed our Advanced Organic SEO process on their website, which included composing pages of optimized content which served two purposes. First, to enhance a visitors experience and have them better understand the quality of the tour, and second to increase their search engine rankings.

And the result? A better performing website which is now in the spotlight and producing great results!

Want a 'hands on' career?

Wednesday, February 6, 2008
Our goal is to help our clients achieve their goals - sometimes that means just enhancing a site they already have. When the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba approached us to help them with their website, we focused on enhancing their existing website instead of creating a brand new site.

We enhanced the overall website styling, moved the navigation menu from the center to the left hand side, and added a small flash banner to give the home page some life.

So, as a massage therapist client of our says (Tom from Colours), "get a massage for the health of it!".

Saturday, February 2, 2008

We're thrilled to have been chosen as the web design company for the Rock and Ice Ultra - an extreme race across 225 kilometers of frozen Tundra in Yellowknife, NWT.

Scott Smith, the organizer of the race is a fellow winner of the 2007 Business Development Bank Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Included within this project was a new website design, flash animation, "cover flow" style photo gallery, integrated blog and greatBIGnews email marketing system to keep his participants and stakeholders in touch.

Thanks, Scott - and look out for the Polar Bears!
