Jason Kolaski, Constant C

This Week in Chamber U:

Jason Kolaski, Constant C

In 1985, three years before graduating with honours from the Computer Analyst/Programming program at Red River College, Jason Kolaski created an innovative software package to help video rental chains across Canada. Jason provided his customers with the software he developed, and the hardware they needed to support it.

As video rental sales exploded, the stores needed more than just one computer to manage customer transactions efficiently. This is how Jason transitioned into computer networking.

A few years later, a large B.C. company started selling software called Rapid Rental. Jason recognized this as a better solution for his customers, so he recommended they make the switch and he transformed his business model to be an outsourced IT department. His company was the first “real” fixed-price managed IT service provider in Winnipeg.

He has continued to evolve his company to be a “single-source” provider of critical business technology. Whether in the cloud or on premise, Constant C provides managed IT services, business telephone systems and IP surveillance.
